STJ dreams

Does anyone else have dreams or nightmares about the USVI or am I just really weird?

This morning I had a nightmare. I was on STJ with my mom. We had just arrived and we were staying at this condo. (Of course these condos really don't exist). The 2 condos next to us were bombed and we knew that ours was about to be bombed so we hid under the counter in the bathroom and all I could say was, "I am going to die and I haven't even see the reefs yet!" It was actually really thundering out at the time which is where the bomb noise came from!!

Then, I went back to sleep and had another weird dream. I dreamt that my mom and son went to STJ with me. We had just arrived and were at some park at a picnic table nowhere near the water and my Mom was reading and my son was playing with a stick. I said, "Hey, I have to go see that blue water, see you later", and proceeded to walk to find the beach. I had to go through some windows and doors, but finally found the beach. I kept seeing people and wondering if they were from the forum. I went to a bar (I think it was supposed to be the beach bar) and saw a couple and the guy had a Nascar shirt on and they were talking about Chicago. I thought that maybe it was "NascarFan", but I was too shy to say anything and I didn't want to hear about the Bears or Cubs (sorry, Chicago people).
Then I found my Mom and son again and she was still reading and he was playing with the stick. Then my daughter showed up, but she looked like my sister and she said she had missed her plane. My husband was never there. Hmmmm :?

Pretty weird, Huh?
I have had other dreams too, but they were better and I don't want to bore you with or embarrass myself with the details.

I sometimes get bombed in my STJ dreams too. Sometimes its the Beach Bar, Quiet Mon, Woody's Happy Hour, Island Blues, Shipwreck Landing, on the beach with a cooler. The one I can't get out of my head is the one where we try to get up from the Beach Bar and Michelle pours us one more double Cuba Libre before she goes off shift. We try to leave again, but April does the same thing as she comes on shift. This one ends blurry.

Cheers, Rick

That is weird! I can't imagine ANYONE not wanting to hear about the Bears or Cubs!

If I make it to the Wisconsin gathering I promise not to talk about the Bears or Cubs.

I have dreams about the VI's too! They are alarmingly like any other dreams I have, though, in that I have a recurring dream that I am LATE for the flight there and end up missing the plane by literally minutes.

I also have one where I show up completely naked on the beach. Oops, no, that really happened

I have dreams about being on island with people from the forum, but you all look like other people I know but you are not them.

For examble, I had a dream I was on some beach with Jorge and Rick and we were talking about roasting hops for coffee flavored beer :?: , but they looked like 2 guys I work with, although it was Jorge and Rick.

Pack light, no underwear!

Xislandgirl, you managed to get 3 obsessions in one sentence! If only we could pursue all of the obessions and make a living at it. I'll stay amateur and pursue the obsessions for fun.

Jorge, its not evil, it just makes some people uncomfortable!

Cheers, Rick

Showed your post to my wife and she says "now you have women from the forum dreaming about you". I corrected her and said I believe the word used was more "nightmare".

Sea-nile, as you can see from my screen name I assure you the topic would be Nascar (or planning our next STJ trip) as I'm not from Chicago but about a 120 miles south. Though I'm a Bears and Cubs fan, just not as avid when it comes to Nascar. Sorry Ron_L

My all of our DREAMS be of STJ and our forum friends :D

Sorry Nascarfan59. I can't help what I dream. I hope that no offense was taken.
I grew up all over Central, Illinois and I lived in Marshall, Illinois for a lot of my childhood. I lived in Peoria too. I have nothing against Illinois we just have a big Bears/Packers rivalry around here. I don't know why that came up in the dream, but that is probably why.
My husband and I are race fans, but usually go to other races, not Nascar, but we have been to Nascar too.
Sometimes it is weird who shows up in your dreams isn't it. :)

Funny this topic came up. Just last night I dreamed I was on STJ and it was time to go home, but I had just gotten there! I was all bent because I hadn't even gotten to use my new snorkel gear yet, or gone shopping for jewelry! Come to think of it, it must have been a nightmare, too!

You are not weird at all. I started a thread with this same topic on the old forum about 2 years ago right before we took our daughter for the first time.

My dreams revolved around various ways of damaging her .. like forgetting sunscreen and staying out in the sun all day.

I think its just a sign you are obsessed. Which we all are.

"Hello, my name is Flip-Flop and I have a problem."
