Something must have happened to my last thread. Strange. So I will ask again, why delete an intelligent, well-manored thread?

Management? Anybody? Newman? Bueller?

Yeah, I'm a little confused too. I'll give you it seemed to be heading a little south with some prodding on my part. Sorry Pete (see the PM). But I thought it was a well spirited debate without the usual rancor. I even noted that on page 6.

For what its worth guys, my blog is unmoderated. Heheheheheheee....sorry Anthony, couldn't help myself.

Cid I wish you the best my friend. (and anyone else for that matter) :D

I thought things went pretty well in that thread but travel_forum I guess.

Out of respect for Anthony I'm not asking for a rehashing of that subject though.

Looks to me like OP requested the thread be closed. Moderator accomodated OP.

Anthony is generally much more willing to discuss such matters in a PM than on the forum.

Just wanted to jump on here to say that the post to which I was referring was not posted by me on the thread that closed. I had tried to submit a post, but upon typing it up and clicking "submit", I was told that the thread had been locked. Most of what I had written was very positive, commenting on the nature of the discourse (civil) on that thread after Terry requested it be closed.

On this thread, I made a snide remark about my thread being "lost"...That comment was a reference towards a very similar thread to this one that I started, again asking why the smoking ban thread was deleted...My first thread simply asking "why delete" was immediately extinguished by the soup nazi (not Anthony).

Anywho, whatever. Nice discussion last night. I learned quite a bit - and thanks for the engagement.
