Feeling a little left out these days with no snow here and with lows forecast to be only a little below freezing for the next five nights (this is Florida?), I must say that I do remember snow...

and most of it had melted by May...

I remember that storm. We had just moved up from TX and all that snow blew my mind. We were stuck at my grandparent's house.

blizzard of '78! i remember that --we had like 4 feet of snow (i lived just west of boston)

My mum has a picture, taken from the second floor of our house, of my older brothers standing on the roof of the station wagon to shovel around it.

Neat pics! I remember the Blizzard of 77 (Buffalo) but not 78.

That was an awesome blizzard and came before I lived south for awhile and realized there was no need to live like that (LOL). But I'm back now anyway.

I was teaching at the time and we had ~2 weeks off worked 2 days, then it was February vacation.

The day before the storm hit, my friends mom and I went to a bridal shop to order bridesmaid dresses for my friend's wedding (she was an army nurse in Korea). The storm delayed the order getting to the manufacturer and the dresses almost missed the wedding.

I also remember walking down to Revere Beach and watching the waves crash up over the wheels.

Such fun!

Minde, I lived in Buffalo for the Blizzard of '85. Do you remember that one? I had only lived there a few weeks and that one hit. Thought what the heck did I get myself into? It snowed for almost 3 straight days with whiteouts, high winds, and drifting.

I remember that storm! My Dad had to come and get me and a bunch of my friends from kindergarten because they did not have enough busses to get everyone home quickly enough. By the time he had dropped off my friends the snow was so deep we could not get back to our house! He had to abandon our car at the bottom of the hill and carry me home.

I remember this one from Jersey...had to dig paths in the back yard for our (small) dog so she could "take care of her business". It was a pretty good cash cow for me also - I was able to double my shoveling fees to $20 a driveway (should have made it $50 - my back is still sore 32 years later)...
