Just reviewing my TO PACK list and was wondering if I need a waterproof bag to bring my $ and camera to JVD?? This is my first trip to the BVIs. We are taking the Island Spirit Catamaran. TIA

Not a silly question at all.
If your camera isn't water resistant, it would be a good idea. The money isn't such a big deal if it gets wet, they will gladly hang up and dry.
We usually bring a small water proof container that can hold your money, but a ziploc would work nice.
Many of the charters will get in close enough, so your chest and head are above water.
I am excited for you!

I've never been on the JVD trip, but if you are looking for a quality dry bag - I have your answer.

These bags are supremely lightweight and completely waterproof. Ten times better than a zip lock and something you will have forever.
Enjoy your trip, and the beautiful weather.

I bought these on e-bay and got them the other day. 2 for 4.99. Like them very much:

Depending on which charter you are using, they will have their own waterproof bag and will carry stuff ashore for you. Both Lion in da Sun and Breakaway had them (the only two I've used).
