Having never been to Virgin Gorda, I am not sure if this is the main/only airport there, but I am thinking that it is...

"The Government of the Virgin Islands is adopting a multi-agency approach to address matters arising from the closure of the Taddy Bay Aerodrome on Virgin Gorda, according to a Government Information Service (GIS) released late Friday afternoon."

I saw a thread on a BVI site about the airport. It is the only one on the island and it is rustic at best. The runway is dirt but upgrades are planned.

That article seems to imply this is a temporary closing is due to a paperwork (?) issue with their "certificate".

An article a few weeks ago noted the planned closing in May for upgrades that will allow a little bigger planes and small jets to land.

That's also what Cape Air is waiting for to begin service there - not that their palnes couldnt land there now, but their policies demand a higher level of airport technical & safety capability than the VG airport has now.
