I'm considering a villa in Fish Bay. Is this a good area for a vacation? 2 people will hang out at the house, 2 will be on the road for most of the week and 2 will do a mixture of both.[/code]

Which villa? We've stayed in Fish Bay many times.

I don't know the specific villa, but I do know the skytop area in which it is located.

Positives: gorgeous views of Fish Bay and of Reef Bay. Reef Bay is in the Southern part of the National Park and simply is stunning. In addition, Fish Bay is far enough away from Cruz Bay that it is very dark at night, i.e., great stargazing. Of course, the villa itself looks great.

Negatives: While Fish Bay is an easy drive from Cruz Bay and most of the beaches, the road up to the skytop area could be intimidating at first. Once you get the hang of it, though, it becomes part of the adventure. Pool temperature...the tradewinds blow pretty steadily from the southeast and being up that high you will feel them. That is a plus in terms of comfort, but could mean for a cool pool. If the pool is important, I would ask about that. (The pool does not look alee.)
