Hi Guys,
I'm making a trip to San Franciso in April for work. My coworkers and I will be there for almost a week. Was just curious if you have a recommendations for restaurants, sights, shopping places or any other fun stuff to do while we're there.
Thanks.

Scroll down a few posts and see Flipflop's trip report from her stay there last week. A lot of the suggestions we gave her, she took us up on and enjoyed. Lots of pix, too. The one place she didn't get to though was The House of Nanking. FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC FOOD!!!

Thanks, that was a fun report. Good job Flip Flop.
She didn't mention anything about shopping. So where is the best place to spend the day. We have two full free days, one at the beginning and one at the end. So we plan to spend the first day shopping for our wardrobe for the week.

Deb, I didn't do any shopping when I was there

but I can recommend the Museum of Modern Art and an art museum called the Legion of Honor. And as I recommended to flip-flop, Yerba Buena Gardens across the street from MOMA, where the Samovar Tea Room and Martin Luther King Memoral waterfall is.
P.S. Oh yeah... and the Tonga Room!

For shopping, I like the mall in Union Square. It has a great Nordstroms and a lot of other nice shops.

Deb,
If you're a wine lover, I'd highly recommend a day trip up to either Napa or Sonoma valley. I know there are organized trips out of San Fran. It's so beautifuly and I guarentee that you will love it.
Safe travels!
Nancy
PS Hope to see you at the Beach Bar - haven't seen any threads on the form for next Sunday or the following.

I thought about doing one of the wine tours, but the group I'm going with already ixnay that idea.
So you'll be here this coming weekend and next? We will definitely get over to STJ.
Terry - thanks for the Mall recommendation.
CAGirl - The Yerba Buena Gardens and MOMA sounds great, hopefully I can talk them into it.

Another fun suggestion - Beach Blanket Babylon. Its a show! SO FUN! You will not regret it. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt! If you have ever seen capital steps its a bit like that but over the top. They weave current events into the production. Very talented cast. I am sure there is a tiger woods skit now!

Also, if you like Garlic don't miss The Stinking Rose.
If you have time a side trip over to Sausalito on the ferry is a nice way to spend a day.

Have Fun!
