License plate frames

So - I am really afraid of not making people happy with these, but I want to try some. Of course if I do this, it has to in some way help promote the site. I am wondering about making them just for St. John, or for the "Virgin Islands".
This is where we are: St. John only -
#1 Top: "I'd rather be on... St. John"
Bottom: "Virgin-Islands-On-Line.com"
#2 Top: "St. John... soon come"
Bottom: "Virgin-Islands-On-Line.com"
Virgin Islands:
#3 Top: "I'd rather be in the Virgin Islands"
Bottom: "Virgin-Islands-On-Line.com"
or
#4 None of the above
This is not going to make everyone happy - but if I order 50 or 100 of these, can we expect to sell some? Please vote for #1, 2, 3 or 4 so I can get an idea.
Thanks -

I would definitly purchase a frame,or several...I voted for #2, but I also would purchase #1. Or, how about:

Hi Anthony,
I voted for #3, the reason for this is that were we live, we have a stong population of people from the East Coast of Canada. As a large city there is St John NB & then there is St John's NF, I wouldn't want it to be confussed with the USVI.
Thanks

Sorry but I wouldn't buy one that that the web site info also on it. It makes it too complicated and too commercial in my mind.

I would buy them exactly for that reason MarkandSusan.
We are lucky enough to have found this wonderful community that Anthony has set up for free. We have the opportunity to get inside information and first hand reviews and reports from people that visit the island and those that live there. There are lodging deals to be found, great villa and dining reviews, ferry schedules, the list goes on and on.
I read and post on a few other VI forums but none of them have the comprehensive information that we can get here.
I think that I owe it to Anthony to help support this site and this forum and I plan to.

While I do appreciate the site I'd rather just send $XX a year to help keep it going than drive around with a ad for it on my car.
And maybe this has been discussed before but don't the ad's here help support the site?

No need for a huge debate.
We all support Anthony in a way that we are comfortable with.

Hey Anthony, I voted for #1, but number two, as a few of us here have discussed, might be misconstrued.

And #3 is too generic for me.
Are those the only 3 options? What about "St John-Shh...It's a secret?
What are the frames made of? Are they plastic or chrome plated?
Thanks,
Sarah

I didn't vote because I'd rather see VI-on-line at the top, where it's smaller, and the St. John, or USVI message at the bottom where it's bigger. When I'm behind another car on the street, I can rarely make out what's at the top of their license plate frame, but the message at the bottom is easy to read. If I buy one of these, it would be for the clever message, not for the advertising. I understand your need to put your ad on the frame, Anthony, but I wish it could be secondary to the message.

After some feedback I agree about the ads - they are not necessary on this product. So we will be picking one phrase and going with that. Please keep voting on your favorite -
Thanks - as always.

FYI these are good quality zinc frames with the wording on printed inserts.

I understand your feelings on this - no problem.
As to the ads, of course they help, but we are a small business and everything helps - especially when there is so much competition. The basic reason for wanting to have the URL on the plate frame is to try to reach more people - and because a specialty item like this can be a risk - with a 100 piece minimum order, if we only sell 50 in the first several months or year, I am a loser on it. So having the URL on it can off set that some. Anyway - after hearing the feedback and learning more about the plate itself I think we are going to go without the URL anyway. It will be on the T-shirt though!
