Sorry some of the pics are so big, forgot to resize a few when I uploaded.
12/30 Again I'm up around 6:30, enjoy coffee on the deck, say good morning to the cats and the iguana. Coffee, coffee, Okay, that's enough coffee. We head out by 8:30 and hit up Dolphin for pop & St John Water for ice. Load the cooler, head to Deli Grotto for breakfast. Hubby has sandwich on English muffin, I have one on a croissant, sis and niece have "the best French toast ever". We're outta there by 9:00 and headed to Leinster/Waterlemon. We get about 1/2 mile from parking at Leinster and the rain hits. This is not a light, gentle rain, it's an all out gully washer, and can't see 2 feet type of rain.

We park and sit it out, then when it slows we head out. Now of course the trail is more like a puddle, but what do we care? We're going to be bathing in the beautiful blue water...if we ever get there. Now, this trail is nice and flat, but it's a little slippery and muddy with the rain. We notice a lot of people heading the same way...dang, we wanted a little quieter place today.

We finally arrive and there are already 5 groups there...it's okay, we find a spot, with a dryish place to hang our stuff in the trees.

Sis, niece & I head out into the water for a snorkel. We are not disappointed. Two minutes in we spot a turtle and swim with it for a bit. It surfaces a few times right in front of us, it was great!
We snorkel to the right and see tons of beautiful fish. We come back for a break and snorkel to the left later. More sea turtles, tons of starfish, lots of cool fish, and one little camo flounder guy.

Head back to the beach, I notice the Doritos, which had been in a bag hanging from a tree, are now on the ground open. "Hey Charlie?"..."Yes?"..."Did you leave the chips on the ground?"..."No, why?"...Umm yah, oh look at the mongoose eating Doritos over there...isn't that cute?? LOL those little turds. Now they are watching us, trying to sneak up for more.

Sorry guys, we're leaving, and we're taking the chips with us. Head out, head back to Cruz Bay...chill at the villa.
We are starving, no lunch today. Decide on a nice 5:00 dinner at Cafe Roma. Score a spot at Conrad's (I'm loving this). We are first to arrive as Cafe Roma opens and are greeted by very friendly faces. A couple Amstels for hubby and I, pops for the other two. We order stuffed French bread as an appetizer and they order garlic cheese bread. Both are delish! I have a broccoli, tomato penne, hubby has spaghetti with veal, sis has spaghetti noodles with garlic & olive oil, niece has the "slightly spicy" penne with vodka sauce. That seemed more than slightly spicy to me...but it was really good. The bill comes $137...it's added wrong by about $22, but we don't even care...it was so good and we are again stuffed. Off to do a little shopping. The closer our vacation comes to ending, the longer we want to stay in town. Hubby buys me a St John hook bracelet...I already have one from the last trip, but I totally love this one. Thanks Hubby! A little more wandering and shopping, then to the Beach Bar. BBCs for hubby and I, Banana daiquiris for the other two. Then off to Starfish for snacks, water, ice, and Coco Lopez. Liquor store for a bit of rum and daiquiri mix. Back to villa, mix up drinks, .get my butt slaughtered in a game of UNO. Off to bed
Tomorrow: our last beach day since the niece & I are getting “inked” on New Year’s Eve. We chose Cinnamon, then we hit the Beach Bar.
