12/28
Roosters crow their wake-up call at 6:15 today, that’s sleeping in for me. It’s hazy, humid, and wonderful! Today we’re heading for Francis Bay. Everyone is ready to go by 9am & I believe this is the day my niece and I pop a few jello shots prior to that. Hubby is quickly learning to drive like a local & at times makes us a little nervous, up, around, down, back. All of a sudden we’re at the beach. There are already 8 or 9 groups set up here, we set up at a respectable distance and head for the water. Now, Jess is the photographer of the family and takes amazing pictures above water, so I hand off my Canon to see what she can do under it. She doesn’t disappoint!

A good time was had by all, but now we’re starving! We head into Coral Bay and the goats lead us right to Skinny Legs

Drinks & burgers all around. The food was yummy and did it’s job. It was time to hit the shops. Hubby got a Skinny’s hat & I got a long sleeve t-shirt, Jess bought an adorable shirt. At the store out front I scored a nice zip up hoody with St John embroidered on the front for $24. We also pick up shirts for all the kids and spend enough to get a free t-shirt…sweet, I love free!
Head back to the villa for clean-up and rest. 8:00 reservation at Banana Deck. Sis and I order Thai chicken, hubby has a steak, Jess has a HUGE Caesar Salad. The chicken is to die for, the gloppy rice that came with it leaves a bit to be desired. We waddle out and head for Quiet Mon hoping to catch the Vikings Monday night game. The place is packed with people watching the Georgia game so we have one drink and head back to the villa to watch it. It becomes obvious pretty quickly that the game is going to royally piss me off. I take my football seriously, and I’m not going to let it wreck my vacation. We all wander away from the TV to the deck to do our own things. Some read, some play DS, others (like me) hop online to check it with the kids (read as tease the kids) back home in -6 weather with 22 inches of snow. Tonight is a late night…we’re in bed by 11 lol
Tomorrow: A sail with Captain Nick on the Fat Alice, a shark sighting, & dinner at Lime Inn

Another great installment!

I love the way you think!

Unfortunately for us a game we watched on island didn't go bad until it was too late to wander away! We didn't let it bother us (much!)
