Apartment in Rome

We're looking to rent an apartment in Rome (for 4 adults) for a few nights in the spring. Right now we're leaning towards the Trastevere section - any thoughts?
We're also wondering about the availability of internet cafes/wireless hotspots? Should we focus our apartment hunt on those with internet connections or would it be easy enough to find someplace nearby?
Any input would be great!

Looks like my cousin's place is in that section. As for Wifi...I don't know but can ask.

Thanks, Pipanale. It might be too small though, we'll be 4 adults traveling together. Any info on the neighborhood?

Trastevere is known as a hip area - should find lots of good dining and shopping options. Didn't Vicki stay there on her recent Italy trip? You may find something on Trastevere if you search it here - or I know she left a report on another site. Let me see if I can find the link for you -

I knew a lady here who was a friend of the person in Rome that started that rental site. Looks good. Do they have the rates posted?

got in town by train @4am had to wait for USO to open, the alcohol was the next night
Spend 5 weeks in Northern Italy in a town called Vicenza when I was in the Army, I was a topo surveyor and we surveyed an airfield in that town, every weekend via train visited different area: Venice, Florence, Rome & Lagodi di Garda.
Thanks to a half a bottle of wine and two shots of Amaretto (plus some good food) every day for lunch to get ready for dinner gained 15 lbs in 5 weeks.
The USO (does recreation services for troops) had /has an office near the Vatican (therefore sleeping under bridge waiting for it to open). 2nd night there got very drunk on two bottle of very dry Sicilian table wine
To be young again

Precisely why we chose Trastevere! Shouldn't be too crowded with tourists and there will be lots of shopping/dining options.
Now onto our Florence rental hunt...
