I don't have any pics from this trip on my work computer, but I just so happen to have my camera card and there's some pictures from Day 6... and our underwater pics on there that I can upload.

No one seems to mention Castle St. John on this forum. In fact, I've only been able to find 2 reviews on this villa which surprises me, because it was freakin AWESOME! Spectacular views, complimentary rum (and the remains of alcohol from renters past) and best of all, NO NEIGHBORS! Our group of 4 loved it- this place was perfect for 2 couples.

Rather than type out a whole report, I'll just mention the highlights.

Halloween
Halloween was incredible. We went to Skinny Legs, of course, and had a blast! I dressed up as "Girls Gone Wild" with a 'Censored' sign pinned to me. My boyfriend was "David Carradine" (teehee!) and our 2 other friends were a German couple (she was a beer wench). Good times indeed!

Night Snorkeling at Lameschur
This is the second time I've gone night snorkeling and boy, did we pick the right place to go! We went out to the big rocks that stick out of the water in the middle and saw all kinds of night creatures. We also saw a huge Spotted Eagle Ray!! I've never seen one in person before. This thing had a 6 foot wingspan and a 6 foot tail coming off it! Nuts! We got a great nighttime video of him swimming all around us. He even brushed up against my boyfriend at one point and all I kept thinking was STEVE IRWIN! Yes, crazy but worth it!

Full Moon Hike to Ram's Head
We started hiking at sunset and it was dark by the time we got to the top of Ram's Head. We polished off a bottle of delicious mango rum and had a grand ol' time! I took a bunch of long exposure pics that turned out really great (sorry, they're not posted in my album). Some older dude gave us an empty wine bottle to use in one of our pics - then he wanted us to carry it back down! No thanks man.

Salt Pond
This is my favorite snorkel spot. We went twice this week, actually. The big rocks out in the middle house some amazing sea creatures. I actually pet a sea turtle. He was about 15 feet below me so I dove down and rubbed his shell. Then he swam away. :-) I love turtles!

North and South Haulover
The North side is Treacherous!! I can't believe no one got poked by the thousands of black and red sea urchins! Nice coral on this side once you get past the 'walk of death' into the bay. The South side is calmer and I saw my first octopus in the rocks. Pretty badass, I must say!

The only bummer of the trip was when the Phillies lost the W.S. Oh well! At least we were in St. John and didn't have to watch Yankees fans on the news!

Here's a link to the pics. Enjoy!

Castle looks like a very cool villa! I had never heard of it before and will have to keep it in mind for a future trip.

I love the full moon hike to Ram's head! We've done it 3 times but have had limited full moon which have lead to interesting hikes back :)

I was also sad about the Phillies loosing and you were definitely in a better place when it happened.

Thank you for sharing your highlights!
