Here is a good website. There is good diving in STJ. I like LowKey and 6 Paq scuba for dive charters. Cow and Calf are good and so is Castle rock (it is a new one). I love diving so much I can say that I haven't had a bad dive there yet. The visibility wasn't the best a few times. I have been diving in June and November. June was better in my opinion.

There are several good dive shops on STT & STJ. My preference is Low Key, but others feel the same way about others. A local favorite seems to be the area around Mingo and Congo Cays. The ultimate dive for many seems to be the wreck of the Rhone.
Have a great time.

There is plenty of good diving to be had from both islands. Being based on St Thomas you will get more diving in if you use the shops over here. Almost all of the operators on both islands have good reputations. Which end of the island will you be staying on. In the downtown area, Admiralty Divers does a good job on the south side dive sites.

On the east end Red Hook Dive Center has a good reputation as well. They current owners used to be part of Chris Sawyers staff prior to the change over. Also St Thomas Diving club at Bolongo, they are mid island and have a good rep as well. Also at Coki beach you can rent gear and shore dive. The ones mentioned on St John are good as well.
