I lost my ziploc "wallet a week ago Wednesday while snorkeling Waterlemon. I received a letter from a nice woman from St Thomas with the contents of my "wallet" on Friday. She found it while snorkeling St. John. A thank you note is on it's way. My faith in St John ju ju, mojo etc has never wained and this just re-enforced my belief that good things happen to me in the USVI.

Thank you!

I dropped my wallet (no cash but all my cards and ID) in the Philly airport once - and got it back in the mail within a week. That was surprising...

that's great!

My friend found a Coach wristlet in the bathroom at Giants Stadium when we were at a Bruce show this summer. She looked inside and there was a driver's license. The girl lived in my town so I took it home and returned it to her the next day. She was shocked. And she tried to tip me $20 bucks! LOL I declined!
Judging my her "morning after" appearance it was no wonder she lost it!

My DD & SIL left their backpack on a bench in Disney World on the 1st day there, w/all their money,CCs in it, along w/ Disney park tkts etc. We were on other side of park when realized it,ran back and a couple was sitting on the bench w/ the backpack keeping an eye on it & waiting for the "owners" to come back for it.

People are generally good, but we only hear about the bad ones. Never the acts of kindness or goodness.

:) Just surprising that it happened in a big American city I guess - it would have been a lot easier for anyone to just toss it.

My wife left my divebox with my CC, drivers license, Westin room key and ~$200 in cash on our jeep when we stopped at the Trunk Bay overlook in 2005. By the time we got back to the hotel later in the day, someone already returned it to us.

This is great news. I'm a firm believer that about 99% of us would return something found to the person it rightfully belongs to. It's nice to hear the happy endings.

Good karma indeed. My wife sometimes cringes when I stop to give a ride on StJ. I just figure that it helps keep my mojo rising.

Daughter got off her flight into Orange County, CA...took a cab home to Dana Point, got into her apt. and looked at her desk that had no laptop on it. Since she rarely travels with her laptop, she isn't used to putting things in the overhead bins on flights. The horrible thought that her laptop was still on a plane just about made her sick. She called the airport after getting nowhere with Delta and the lost luggage folks had it, safe and sound and locked it up for her. She was flying out the next day from there and picked it up. My only best advise to her was back up with your thumb drive and back up important documents often.

Nice to hear these stories.

We are so used to hearing all the "bad", that these stories are really great to hear for a change. I agree that 99% of us would return something if we found it. I just love the USVI!!!! 5 more sleeps and I am so there 8)
