Sunset was promising last night, so I was hopeful for a beautiful St. John Day. After all, it was our last full day – where did the time go?
aaaah – looks pretty good.

The plan for the day was to hike to Solomon and Honeymoon. However, we have hiked to Honeymoon twice before after it rained The first time we took the Lind Point trail which was slippery and I slid most of the way down on my butt. The next time we did the trail from Caneel and were eaten by mosquitoes. I really wanted to get to Solomon this trip, but I think it will have to wait. Trunk Bay it is!
Breakfast is at Mojo Café again where we meet the resident iguana, Buddy.

He was hungry and was eyeing Don’s buttito,

but settled for some lettuce instead.

As usual, Trunk Bay did not disappoint.

(pesky clouds)

There were signs advising visitors not to swim around the cay. The lifeguards were hanging out in a kayak in the area of the trail; I had not noticed that before.
After the beach, it was yet another visit to the Beach Bar. Sure sign that things were slow on island; there were always available bar stools.

Back to Grande Bay to get ready for dinner.

(our unit is in the middle; top floor)

Dinner tonight was ZoZo’s – another first.
I made reservations, but should have made them later and just enjoyed sunset up at the bar. Sunset is a little distracted by Gallow’s; but we enjoyed it anyway.

The food here is quite scrumptious.
Lobster ravioli for starters

followed by citrus greens

Pork chop for Don (of course he took a bite first)

Grilled shrimp for me.

With a Frangelico mousse to top it all off – STUFFED!!

During our after dinner stroll, we noticed something unusual in the air. It was warm! With all of the clouds and rain, the evenings had been a tad on the cool side, but tonight it finally felt tropical.
We decided we needed one more visit to the Beach Bar before heading back to Grande Bay to pack.

It can't be over yet?
Tomorrow – it ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings!
