Just returned from the Beach Bar.Ruth and Ron and Capt John joined the troops. There will be pics to come from DC Photo aka Sandie. Great first day. Went to Jakes for breakfast and got to see and talk to the man himself Jake! A worldly 2 1/2 year old. Hit Maho and was back in heaven. WOW it still has the warm oh my feeling after 16 trips. Parking was bad last night in town but I scored a spot right across from the Church tonight. Earned my parallel parking merit badge on the first try. Skeeters were sunning with us at Maho. They are pretty thick. Shopped at the new grocery store near the Westin for a desert and was okay with the offerings. Prices about the same as Starfish and Dolphin. Will report more as the painkillers may have influenced my take. All in all a great first day. PS I wore my forum shirt and had two "lurkers" come up to me. One from Kentucky with his family at Jakes and one gal with her group at Maho from Oklahoma. Yes THEY are out there!!! God bless...Bill on St John

Hi Bill,

That parallel parking (the lost art that it it is) is truly a blessed knowledge base when needed!

Glad your trip is going well. Enjoy!!

You surely know how to pack a lot of action into your first day! Looking forward to hearing more, and to seeing Sandie's photos from the BB! :)

Bill - we were the 'lurkers' from Kentucky that you met at Jakes. It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife even though we were on our WoW.

I hope your trip is as good as ours. This is my first day back at work since returning home. It hurts!

Parallel parking on the left is a challenge for me. I am an old hand at parallel parking at home but put me on the other side of the road and my wife giggles because she says it makes as parking challenged as she is.
