Ok, this isn't something that is required for St. John (which I love!) but we are going to Playa Del Carmen and staying at a resort. I think I need to do a little shopping for unique fun clothes and I am drawing a blank. I did find a few things for myself but I still need more (always) and need something the husband and teenage boys wont object to.

Were do you shop online for less casual resort wear?

Gina-
PM mrs.mahojim, she's cornered the market on shopping on line, and I'm sure that she'd love to help you out!

How fun to shop for "resort wear" in prep for a trip to a warm place! Over the years, I have bought a few items (sun dresses and coverups) from Land's End, LL Bean, Chicos and Macys. You might try those stores on-line since there's probably no clothes like that in the stores now. I did a google with "resort wear" and got so many hits. Might be fun to check some of them out, but I didn't recognize any names of businesses on the first page I hit.

As I was typing this, I just realized that I am going to a nice resort in Florida in Jan where my husband will be speaking at a conference. Its one of only a few trips that I will take time off and go with him. The resort is called Sanibel Harbour Resort and looks very nice, so I am going to enjoy staying at a posh place. I need to update my resort wear, since all our trips in recent years were to STJ and VG, so I only brought very casual clothes. Let me know if you get things on-line and are happy with them.

Thank you for the suggestions. I forgot about Macy's--of all places!

I will let you know what I come up with. I did find some things at athleta.com on sale. But I haven't come up with sundresses yet.

Have you seen Athleta, Newport News, Boston Proper? There are more, but I need to remember the names and get back to you.

I was also going to suggest Newport News. How about Chadwicks? They generally have cute stuff. And Coldwater Creek has an awesome outlet section on their website... usually "out of season" clothes.

Since you are going to Playa De Carmen and staying at one resort you will need more clothes than if you were staying at several resorts. Heaven for bid someone at the resort should see you in the same outfit.
I would shop at Chico's and pick up pieces that I can mix and match.
