OK, let's get that out of the way before we get there! But hey - I'll take a foggy day in St. John rather than a foggy day in Maine any day!

Sorry that's not fog it's rain but I'm sure it will be out of here by the time you arrive.

I always stay away from weather questions re: Oct/Nov and Apr/May as every year since I have lived here (still an island newbie - only 4 1/2 years) we have had 7-10 days straight in either Oct or Nov and again in Apr or May of straight cistern filling rain - I just wish I could predict the exact dates.

We can testify to the May rains of this year! That was our first time on St. John.
I'm glad it's clearing up for you now, AND that your cisterns are happy!

You know how they always say "it is always sunny in Aruba" we went on our babymoon five years ago in November and it rained for 6 out of the 7 days. We sat under the palapas with the rain pouring down all day long.... What made it worse was I was prego and couldn't drink!

Hi Pia,

Here in KC we have had rain for 3 days and woke up to snow this morning. The kids were happy to see the snow but I can't wait to see STJ this summer!

Take care,
Jo

See, for me the "better a sh*tty day in paradise than a whatever day at home" only goes so far. The above would have had me in tears.
