Chased Out of Town By a Donkey

So on Saturday morning at 5:20AM we departed Coral Bay in order to catch the 6AM barge on our way to an early morning flight home. As we're making our way up Bordeaux Mountain we came upon about 8 donkeys wandering the road in the dark. We slowed down to ease our way past them and as we started to get around them one of them approached the car. As we picked up speed again he started trotting, then running after us. I mean, this guy looked like Seabiscuit! I urged my wife to put more foot on the pedal and we slowly began pulling away from him. Was he sorry to see us go? Angry for not offering a breakfast treat? Or simply training for 8 Tuff Miles? I guess we'll never know... 15 hours later when I was sitting in an airport shuttle bus, exhausted and gridlocked in traffic, I thought back to earlier that morning and started to smile again...

We were out on a deserted road on the East End and we came across a donkey. We stopped, and my wife rolled down her window. The donkey stuck his entire head into the jeep. It was cute at first, but my wife started to panic when I jokingly said,"I think they bite". I eased on the gas and gently pulled away-no harm. I got a punch in the arm for that one.

Randy, that is hilarious! I am so curious. I wish you would have stopped to see what he wanted.

Maybe just a 8 miles workout?

He wanted to tell you that your driver's side brake light was out...

Randy, that has to be the same one that chased me a while back. I wasn't in a vehicle though, so it was a little dicey. I was just trying to take his picture and he went all Rambo on me.

What can you expect from a jackass?

HA! So that's the full story. I'm sure it was just early-morning training. It's too hot otherwise.

Lucky you, Randy!
I had a couple of jack-asses following me around all week...Leaving their crap everywhere, acting like they owned the place...!
Gave me a bad name!(Like i needed their help!)
Thank God THAT'S over!
PHEW!!!
