The clincher

I had been hinting around that I would love for Ned to surprise us and say we could go over Thanksgiving.

I think the clincher was when my youngest (9) started crying when she heard this song-the CD had been in the player and we hadn't used it for a long time.

So I know I have posted it before, but I will share our "St. John" song with you on this rainy day. Have a great one.

Thanks for that, Susan! I have the CD, but have never seen the video. That man made beautiful music, it's so sad that he's gone. :(

The DJ played this as the last song at our wedding. Our guests spontaneously formed a circle around us as we danced. The best memeory from a day filled with wonderful memories. I get misty everytime I hear the song!

My office blocks Youtube, but I'm guessing that the song being referred to is Somewhere Over the Rainbow by IZ (if not, then ignore this post)

Its my 2 year old's favorite song (that and Donavon Frankenreiter's "Swing on Down"). He loves the video. He refers to IZ as "Big Man" and refers to the song as "Somewhere". My sister in law recently bought Jonah a little ukelele and he now plays along to Big Man when he watches the video - he basically knows all the worlds.

What great stories! Isn't it amazing how one guy can touch so many people in such a deep way.

Thanks for that story, and the link to this performer. I have heard him before, but I don't know where. Beautiful! I thought Tori Amos' version was the best, but this is a total tie.
