Thursday morning I've seriously fallen prey to island time and wake up at 8:42! We have officially entered the "wrong end" of vacation :(
We skipped breakfast, I stuck the plastic in my eyes and we headed to Salt Pond.

<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.tinypic.com/2qb6lh0.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
Beep for Guy Benjamin, just past the school!
<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/68t2m8.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
First glimpse of Salt Pond beach:
<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/mbhmrm.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
Ahhhhhhh......
<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i38.tinypic.com/ogattf.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
We don't mind the walk down (or up) at all...we just don't take chairs. We snorkelled right and left. I was startled to see a guy carrying a starfish as he snorkelled.
What are these little mushroom thingies?

<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/2q2n1js.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
This was set up on a rock, as if the little mermaid herself set it there!
<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.tinypic.com/6tfpna.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
They guy with the starfish had just brought it out to show his kids. I hope that kind of relocation is okay for the starfish!

We took the little walk past the salt pond itself:
<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.tinypic.com/bg37zo.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
and then on to Drunk Bay!

<a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i34.tinypic.com/2cxw2zs.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
And then we packed up and headed to the Tourist Trap. Sorry, I took a bit the second my lobstah rolls appeared!

Larry says they're doing really well, as they should be. This is a must-do for each trip, at least once!
There's more to this day, but dinner is ready, and I don't want to lose my post because I'm gone too long, and time out, so I'll break here.

Great report and pics...TY for taking us back and giving us something to look forward to in a few months. I'm amazed that even after 7 years in a row of Easter Breaks theres so Much we haven't done yet on our visits to Love City.

Minde-
Did you find a snorkel vest to rent on the island? Do the places that rent the snorkels have them? We're thinking of using them in a few weeks-thanks!

You are right about not having time to get to everything. Last week we did not even make it to Trunk Bay! And the pic is on my phone. Darn it. But oh so many other good beaches. Thanks for the pics. Great ones. We had a crowd that was early to bed and early to rise. That just means we got a fantastic breakfast every day. We took turns. And because I made French Toast twice by request we all have a few pounds to lose. Cinnamon and sugar were packed in my luggage. The B's were usually up by 6 or 6:30 sipping java by the time we stumbled out of our bedroom. And yes the mosquitoes were better this year. After the middle of the week they started coming out more due to some showers we had. But definitely better than trips that we have made in the past. Did I say great pics?
