It's Wednesday, and island time has taken me over and I didn't pop out of bed this morning! Perhaps the stormy skies, thunder and rain kept us in bed a little longer than usual.

It's beautiful even when stormy, though. I wish we'd seen lightning...that must be amazing! We read and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. I took some photos of the inside of the unit:

Then Blaine called me outside, to show me this!

So we hit the road, Jack! We decided to try Jumbie, based, I think, on Joshie's recommendation. It was raining when we walked down the steps but cleared quickly. Jumbie was a nice little beach with rocks on both sides and it was very choppy.

Lots of these little red bugs:

The snorkelling was lousy, so we read awhile and then headed into town for lunch. Sheila's Pot was open (closed on Sunday and Monday) and we'd been anxious to try it. Blaine had stew chicken and I had curry chicken, and she provides all kinds of side dishes. We had plantains, good macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and a hot potato dish that we heard a local call potato salad. $10 each. Way more food than either of us could eat! The food was good, not spectacular but good.
Next, we headed out to Francis again. We love this beach! I went out for several floats, while Blaine read in the shade. I couldn't get the ghost shark out of the 2:00 position in my peripheral vision, so I stayed very close to shore. I found a Barracuda, and promptly exited the water to show Blaine right where it was and send him in to get photos

I think we put the camera in underwater mode for the second photo. Sorry, they're not so great.
We were home by 5, had dinner (grilling successfully now), read and slept. Tomorrow we're considering Waterlemon, but I need to find a vest to rent.

Beautiful sunset shot Minde! Thanks for the interior photos of your Cruz Views unit. That's a step up from the Cottages at Cinnamon Bay, eh?

Jumbie & Francis? Woo-Hoo! What a great day!

It took me a while to realize that you don't need a float vest or belt to snorkel. You really do float well in the salt water!! :D I conquered Waterlemon with no floatie!! Finally!!

Lovin' your report!!
