A great weekend in Denmark

We spent our annual weekend with old friends on a small Danish Island in the Northern Jutland, named Mors.
Thought that some of you might like to see pics from the trip.
On the way to the island we first visited the worlds biggest limestone mines

Next was a visit to a micro brewery on Fur, another small island, where they make some of the best beer in Denmark
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/VTE ... site"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/St2XV ... 2.JPG"></a>
Had a delicious lunch there and of course beer.
We arrived to Mors late afternoon and stayed on a youth hostel there, the hostel was not a very elegant place, but it was clean and cosy and close to the water (I have arranged the trip this year, and hubby and I prefer position for luxury).

In the morning we woke up to this sight
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/bk3 ... site"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/St2X0 ... 8.JPG"></a>
and later we enjoyed this
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/taa ... site"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/St2YA ... 4.JPG"></a>
After the lunch we went sightseeing. The island is very beautiful with big moler (white clay) cliffs and an attractive landscape.
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/PU7 ... site"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/St2YG ... 1.JPG"></a>
We had some delicious food experiences. Some of the specialities on the island are mussels and shrimps and perhaps most of all fried eels with potatoes in white sauce. Uhm, to eat that with a good beer and a schnapps to - cannot be better.
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/UHj ... site"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/SuVfk ... 2.jpg"></a>
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/lAo ... site"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/SuVfj ... 1.jpg"></a>
Some didn’t want the eels and had, what is named a “shooting star” in Danish, fried and cooked fillets of fish with shrimps etc. What’s the English name?
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/rBJ ... site"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/SuVfj ... 5.jpg"></a>
Others had a delicious and very big Wiener Schnitzel
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.dk/lh/photo/6l7 ... site"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_4aSBK_jB-gs/SuVfl ... 3.jpg"></a>
A really great weekend!
