I scored 3# of frozen king crab legs for $7.99/pound tonight, for our trip!
How the heck do I cook em?

The day before you want to cook them, take them out of the freezer and stick them in the fidge (24 hours or a little more).
I prefer to steam them if you have steam basket at the rental. About 15 full boil steam minutes. If not, you can boil them for about 10 minutes or so. Depends on just how thick they are. If you boil them, I stick some seasond salt with hot pepper in the water.

A long but interesting video on steaming. Just remember to not let those thawed crab legs drip in the refrigerator. It will get really smelly...been there done that.
I actually get water boiling in a roaster type pan (fits the shape of the legs bettter), add a little Old Bays, then put the FROZEN (but fully cooked)crab legs in the water. When the water starts to boil again, the legs are hot and ready to eat.

First off let me say I didn't watch the long video. Thawing king crab prior to cooking is a new one for me. I suppose thawing eliminates some of the water content if you are going to microwave, and that would be important.
Crab legs are so easy to prepare and enjoy, it seems like some of the other suggestions are making more work than necessary. I usually cut the frozen pieces at the joints so they fit into a pot, steam them for 10 or 15 minutes and you are good to go. This way you can have a meal from freezer to table in less than 20-30 minutes. The crab legs are fully cooked before you buy them...all you need to do is reheat.
I am a purist when it come to seasoning king crab ... just lemon and butter. My husband prefers a fresh habanero in his melted butter. However you prepare them, its a treat to enjoy that delicious sweet meat!

Minde I also wanted to mention that if you are going to be cooking the crab at your villa and you find that you don't have a steamer pot (or you don't want to heat up the kitchen), you could also wrap them tightly in heavy duty foil with just a little water inside and steam them on your grill. The meat is already fully cooked so you are just reheating.

ooh I like the grill idea. Cooking crab legs in the house is rather "fragrant" if you know what I mean. Thanks for the tip.

Liamsaunt, I just wanted to tell you that your grill idea was so tremendous! It was HOT in Cruz Views at dinnertime, and I'd have never cooked those crab legs. They were absolutely scrumptious, steamed on the grill. IOU.
