At the last minute, Don and I decided to take a quick trip up to Kennebunkport.

Due to the long weekend, most places were booked, but I finally got a room at the Village Cove Inn; ~20 minute walk to Dock Square.

We drove to Cape Porpoise since it was recently reviewed on Chronical (local Boston TV show)

The leaves are not quite at peak along the coast, but it was a good getaway anyway. (no Bush sightings)

We did like the Village Cove Inn. The room was nice, clean and quiet. (and $149). It came with a continental breakfast which we skipped since we wanted something more before heading to the Kittery Outlets and home. I would have preferred something closer to town, but at the last minute this was great.

Good eye, that is the Ramp at Pier 77. We had lunch next door at the Chowder house.

we like pier 77/Ramp a lot. I actually prefer the Ramp which is weird since it's a weird little room but I like it.

That photo you took where the chairs are .. those crushed shells come from the clams they use for Chowder. Came across the owner crushing them last time we were there.

did you ever go to the Candy Man in town? best fudge in the world! Penuche .... yummmmmmmmmm

... very lovely photos ladies. I especially like the one with the lighthouse that looks like a decorative minature village, and the last of yours, Maryanne - beautiful.
All gave me a nice cool feeling. Thanks.
