We are so cool now

Well our "Oktoberfest" (our last name fest) party is over...it was really fun- great food, everyone was in a good mood, everyone came and more (over 60 there).

Anyways, I just wanted to let everyone know how cool and awesome I am because the police were called to my house for disturbing the peace!

It was so ridiculous. We were playing polka music off of our computer speakers which literally are 5 inches tall. We had one window open to the deck. The music was not so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk in the house.

This policeman comes walking up...he couldn't find the party (everyone walked)...he was so apologetic, the music wasn't even loud enough that he could hear it from his car.

Some idiotic jerk neighbor called. Guess they were jealous they were not invited.

We had a good laugh with the guy about our blaring polka music. After he left we high fived ourselves that we are now so cool the cops have to come to our party to bring it down a notch.

Here is a photo of how cool we are. Ned and I are on the far right. Aren't you glad you "know" someone as awesome as me?

What a funny picture. You certainly look awesome in your Tyrolean cloth. Are you drinking a lot of beer to your party and trying to yodel?

Linne-
Lots of beer and yes, I actually did try a yodel!

Next year I have decided to get the Sound of Music soundtrack to add to the late night festivities!

You get extra "cool" points if you actually own those outfits.

We had the cops come once (well, more than once but thats another post) because we were dancing on top of the dining room table at 3am the night before my BFF's wedding.

No one called, the cops were just driving by and saw a bunch of us on top of the table thru the giant front window. (We didn't have curtains or blinds)

They chirped the siren until one of us (me) noticed.

When I went out he said "what is going on here? we don't see people dancing on tables in the middle of the night in this neighborhood." (We were the youngest one the block by at least a generation.)

LOL! Glad to hear your party was a success!

Here's hoping the cops come TWICE next year!

PA girl- so funny cops would come by because you aren't supposed to dance on tables! That is WAY close to an invasion of privacy- but I guess they were trying to do the right thing!

The outfits- most everyone rented, but I am looking at Ebay, guess I need to break down and buy a dirndl!

That is small town for you. The same cops that are bored and nosey at 3am are the same ones that let you out of a speeding ticket. We take the good with the weird/bad.

We also live right next to a college and parties are a problem. They were probably like "hey, I thought adults just moved into that house, not a bunch of college kids"
