Well its exactly two weeks until we are headed back to St. John and also Virgin Gorda this time round and low and behold a depression forms. I know its way too early to tell, but after last year's experience (Omar) I will be really upset if it happens again.

Its been quiet for WEEKS now and of course all of a sudden something forms... I am hoping that this one does not form or head this way. It just figures.... :x

Here's hoping it turns out to be nothing.

I think you can buy trip insurance up to the time that the storm is named.

Just researched it, here's what I found: http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMa ... rynum=1330

I'm not concerned at all!

It hasn't been named yet. I actually just booked trip insurance today.

So hopefully that means it will break apart or just go straight up north (that's what the very early tracks are). Every time I have had trip insurance - we've been fine. Last year was the first time w/o it and we got Omar.

On "another" board someone said it will become something w/i the next 48 hours! I think it will be long gone by Oct. 9 and 10!

I hope this means nothing but we were on island same time as you last year for Omar and we DID have insurance. As you know, it made no difference. We're headed back on 11/7. Hopefully, for all of us, there will be no "names" again. Good luck!

Same thing happened to us a few weeks ago with "Erika". The only thing that she bothered was the Air Sunshine flight from STT to VG. It was like a 15 minute amusement ride! Woo Hoo!!!!!

Great news! Just saw on wunderground.com that it should be no threat to land.

I understand the stress. We were there in May, during the week of rain. It would be really nice to have sun this trip, but we'll enjoy ourselves if it rains.
I hope it doesn't though. I hope you have a beautiful week!!!

I know - everyone is telling me not to stress myself out but its easier said then done! haha. I think next year we may change our week. This is getting too coincidental -
