I know it has been mentioned that The Banana Deck has been open on Thanksgiving. We will be getting in on the later side. Will be taking the 6:00 ferry from Red Hook and will have to quickly dump our stuff at The Grande Bay. Is anything open after 7:00pm? It really doesn't matter if it is something like pizza or even tacos from Surly Cantina. We won't be picky after the long travel day. Thanks!

Don't know any specifics this year, but I've always found that most restaurants here are open on Thanksgiving. I'm sure you won't starve!

Hi Brenda, There are 4 great restaurants open on Thanksgiving but they are reservations only so call ahead.
The Balcony which is great and on the beach just above Joes rum hut. The food is terrific and the drinks fabulous.
Asolare is open which is more romantic and up the hill above cruz bay.
Paradiso is also open and located on the second level at mongoose junction.
And Cloe and Bernards will be open in the Westin.
just remember to make your reservations.

Whew! Thank goodness we won't starve

. We have never been on island Thanksgiving Day so I wasn't sure if things closed up or not. If nothing else, I'm sure we can get some pub food.
Cindy, Thanks for the advice. We were looking for something more casual on arrival day

Morgans Mango may also be open, we went there last year on Thansgiving and had a great meal.
We also went last summer and had really bad service there. But the food was good.
Another possible option.

Brenda-glad to see that someone's concerned about the important things upon arrival-food!

Only a few short months to go-I'll try to remember to wear my forum tshirt to be recognized at the charlotte gate

Thanks Pam! What airline are you flying? From previous posts several forum members will be on the USAIR Charlotte connection. I just double checked the rezzies and they're looking good still. I can almost taste the lime and the coconut

Toni,
Do you have a picture to post? Or you can PM me and send it to my e-mail so we know who to look for. Or you can just wear the shirt and we will find you. We will be meeting Pam and John for the third time, so we know who to look for. You are on the 11:40am flight, right?

Kind of a family reunion I guess. We all used to go on Windjammer cruises together. They went under (pun intended), and took some of our money with them, but we figured out we like to vacation together so we're going to check out St. John this year.
