I had booked my original flight to leave STT back to FLL on Nov 17 Tues.
SPIRIT has changed that to Wed Nov 18 same time and same flight.
They have NO flight now on Tuesday.
Can they do that? I have NEVER seen that before.

Cape Air did that to us, and when we finally got everything changed to accommodate it, they changed it back again!
I think the airlines can pretty much do just about anything they want.

What should I do?
My friend just booked her flight to leave on Nov 18 and I need to get us back from Jost.
I was thinking ok, we will come back Tues, Nov 17 and just have another night on STJ........now I got to find where we should stay..............

Rosi - Call Spirit and tell them what happened and how you really have to come back that day. Since it's THEIR fault that it changed, they should help you out. Continental really helped me when Cape Air changed my connecting flight.

I can arrange my work schedule. My friend ALREADY booked her return trip for Nov 18......I can NOT just leave her since IF she has to change she will be charged....
I just got to tell my clients to move to Thur AM instead of Wed.
Considering I take 2 times off a yr for less then a week, think they will go along with it.......
just need to find a inexpensive place for one night on STJ

Would you consider a night on St. Thomas?

They did it to us last Sept going to FLL. to make it worse, I never even got an email telling me. In was buying seats when I noticed it. I called told them it was unacceptable as we were going on a cruise and would miss the ship if we went a day late. As best I can remember they changed our fight to day earlier, which worked out fine. We enjoyed a extra day of vacation..

A friend of mine arrived a day before our group one year. She stayed at Emerald Beach near the airport. We picked her up there. The pool and beach looked very nice. It has a lovely bar and decent food. Five minutes from the airport, you can relax until you have to leave for the airport.

Thanks, but we have a whole day and night....
Also I think Tamarind would be cheaper then Emerald Beach. Being that it is the FIRST time for my friend to be on island I want it to be STJ and Jost.
It will all work out. it always does.....

Eileen from Sail View in Coral Bay recommended the Green Iguana in STT to us for a 1 nt stay it looks really nice and priced pretty reasonable.

We have stayed at the Green Iguana and it's wonderful. VERY clean, cute, quiet, reasonably priced, the walk down hill into town is easy, back up a bit of a challenge but not a deal breaker (besides, it's best to take a cab at night any way), really nice people.
Crystal Palace, of course, gets lots of recommendations and good marks. The owner, Ronnie, is a board member here.
Have also stayed at Villa Santana, located right behind Crystal Palace, and it was nice.

Unless something's changed, Spirit doesn't usually run flights down there everyday during the off-season. You can call, but there is a good possibility that they've changed the schedule. I know last year when we went in November, they were only running a few days a week.
