I just wanted to send out my thoughts and prayers to those that have lost family or friends on 9/11. I hope everyone takes a moment to remember them today. We have all been blessed with finding a place that brings us peace and happiness in a world that can get kind of crazy at times. God bless you all and enjoy every moment!

May we never forget.

Praying for our service men & women who sacrifice so much for each of us. Freedom truly does come with a price.

SJ - I know you had mentioned that to me before...I'm sorry for your loss.

One of my favorite Dave Matthews lyrics (music will never let you down!!):

"What I want is what I've not got
But what I need is all around me.."

I'm sure you miss your friend everyday...Take solace in that beautiful little boy you have.

I know of some people on this board who lost loved ones on 9-11. It hardly seems like 8 years ago! Watching it all happen before my very eyes on TV is burned into my memory and I will NEVER FORGET! Peace.

Hey Margo - On never forgetting.

I received a blog link from someone in my industry. They talked about one persons reaction on the day that 3000 were murdered and it asked for comments.

I found it amazing that three of the comments said something to the effect, thanks for the reminder. Very, very sad.

God bless those who were taken and their families left behind.

I just don't "get" needing a reminder! How could one forget? :?:

I was watching the ground zero memorial this morning and really thought I heard them wrong when they said "8 years ago". It honestly feels like it was just months ago. I don't think there is any chance that anyone who was alive during 9-11 will ever forget it. I bet all of us could tell exactly where there were when they heard the news.

My sympathies to everyone who lost someone they care about. My friend lost her husband. He was a NYFD.

something very tangible you can do today is to call or write your representative in Washington and ask them to suppport HR 847 the James Zadroga 9/11 health compensation act. Among other things this bill would provide funds for ongoing medical monitoring and treatment for the approximately 40,000 individuals who responded for rescue and recovery efforts on 9/11./ Many of those responders will require ongoing medical treatment for physical and mental health conditions they developed as a result of their service on 9/11 and the months after.
I remember watching the second plane hit. what a nightmare.
