I Love My State

I found out today through a letter from the DMV that I've been driving around for 6 months with the wrong license plate on my car. Spent my lunch hour visiting the local DMV where I was told, "Ha, ha, ha, somebody gave you the wrong plate, it wasn't me, because they always accuse me of issuing the wrong plates." I said, but you know who it is, right? Of course I do, ha, ha, ha, good thing you didn't get pulled because if they had called it in you would have a hard time explaining that a) you aren't driving a stolen car and b)you didn't switch the plates (even though you look like a respectable, middle-aged mom). We're so sorry for the inconvenience, you have a great day!

Is it not enough that Mark likes other countries, Jenny has a big spread in Vogue and Bridget has an explicit on-line blog about stuff that would make you blush? Good lord, I do love my state, sigh.......

I think MD may have you beat. One of my students noticed my tags were expired as he sat on a bus in the parking lot. I KNOW I did not get any paperwork. Called hubby & he made the awful trip to DMV. Sure enough we never got any paperwork because the "computer" says we turned those tags in 6 months ago. REALLY???? do ya all need to come look at my car, because they are on it. Go figure..
