I have been gathering opinions on this today and can't quite decide, still! I am framing a photo for a friend's birthday. It's a silly thing and you might not understand the photo but that's ok. I have been playing with different effects in photoshop but can't pick one.

It's a cool photo! re: which version... I think it depends on the kind of frame (and the other art/photos in your friend's home.) If it's a sleek/contemporary look then the b&w would look great. Otherwise I like the colors in the 1st and 4th pictures.

#1 is my favorite; with the b&W 2nd.

Hummmmmm, I liked #3 and #5. But, what do I know?

I liked the B&W but as was already said it depends on the frame and other pictures the people might have.
Anyway you do it the pictures are unique. Sorta depressionesque.

#5... the interesting combination of colors, especially in the ceiling beams, really pleases the eye... i love it. overall, the colors just feel right.



PS the photograph might also be most served with no mat.... or just a tiny bit of mat that fits under the frame and can't be seen (just protects the photograph).. matting often captures too much of the eye's attention and detracts from the impact of the subject... there is a framemaker here in Boston who refuses to do 95 percent of mats; his clients are usually happy they listened.

I printed #1 which is the photo right out of the camera, the b&w and also the last one.
