Sorry I've been so absent the last month - new dog, Christine's broken leg, holidays, closed old company, started new company.... sometimes life gets in the way of my obsession! I'm enjoying getting caught up on happenings. The Google calendar is quite nice, well done Xislandgirl!!

Chrstine and I booked Callaloo Villa for the two of us April 27 - May 4. It's going to be nice to travel without many people to take care of. Mark from the forum has contacted us about getting together and that will be fun. It looks like we will be leaving the day before a group of hard-cores show up. We'll try to leave some rum at the Beach Bar for you!

Christine and I will be coming down with our hard-core regular party group (Janet, Pat, Big Red, Becky, Christine and Rick) October 27-November 3 staying at Eaglesnest for the Halloween week. This is one of our favorite weeks to be on the island. We'll be dressing up for Halloween and embarrasing ourselves.

VIVA gives a nice 10% discount on the houses they directly manage like EaglesNest. That's quite nice!

Cheers, RickG

Gosh Rick, like Mary Beth, I am JEALOUS! We'll be there in April and would really like to go again in November.

Does everyone charge more for Thanksgiving week? I think that's the only time we have off from work.

To say I am Jealous is putting it mildly. I am down right sick is what I am. All I can do is think about STJ!! There is no way I can get back in 2007 - I have a 10 day cruise next month, sending my son to Italy in May, going to Yellowstone in Sept, son graduates from college in Dec. Yup - 2007 is shot.

I guess I just have to start planning for 2008. :D

But Congratulations on your two planned trips!!! 8)

Edited to say: p.s. I didn't mean to sound like a Sad Sac!! Sorry!!!

Our first choice this Thanksgiving, Jazz Villa, did have a $500 premium. But Cocotier, Le Lapin and Dolphin Run did not.

We are coming in from Washington National (DCA). I imagine we'll run into you at Ft. Lauderdale. Let's coordinate before we leave so that we can obsess together.

Where are you staying on island?

This is way to cool.
My husband & I read all of your reports from your last trip & loved them all.
We are staying at Villa Soleil with another couple.
This will be there first time & our second in less than 6 months....

It would be great to conect in Fort Lauderdale.
We only have an hour between flights & if they go the way they did in Nov we will just make the connection. Although in Nov we came out of Toronto, Ont & our flight was almost an hour late leaving.
Will have to wear something so that we can recognize each other.

Cool, I'll have my St. John Spice baseball cap on, just like my current avatar.

Villa Soleil looks cool. Is this the bottom level of Villa Cielomar?

Hey Rick,
I beleive it is the bottom of Villa Larimar.
I believe the Cielomar is just below in front of the shared pool.
Will look for your hat.....
I don't wear them so I will have to see what hat Hubby will wear & let you know.
But you will definatley see 4 people with big smiles on LOL.

Rick will you take the ferry from CA????
We are thinking we might like to do this one this time.
WE felt very rushed taking the other one last time & missed enjoying our first cold one until we got to the villa.

We are dabbling with the idea of picking up a rental car at the airport and taking the barge. We usually take the CA ferry and rent from Conrad Sutton. FLA George's love of the car/barge approach has us thinking...
