Chicago - STT $83.00 each way

So, I am judging an event in Chicago in October as I do every year, and I just thought I would pass on this price should anyone be thinking of a last minute trip - $83.00 each way on AA with only one stop in Miami each way - many dates available (I am travelling Oct 8th - 11th) and total with tax and fees $230.70

I just saw that on AA.com this morning and booked a trip for the end of October to STJ! The rate was too good to pass up for a long weekend in paradise! Normally the fare is about $400 when I fly out from ORD - STT. Now I just have find a condo or just decide to stay at the Westin for that weekend.

Crap...saw this too late. I just tried and it is now up to $403.00. I tried the same exact dates as Pia thinking I could surprise hubby for a long weekend. I am having a hard time waiting to December to get back on St. Thomas:)

You just have to do a little looking and playing with dates.
You can leave October 1st and return October 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th and they are all showing $83.00 each way - going down you have one extra stop 
but on the return still only one in Miami
I also found October 15th returning October 20th for $230 - a little longer than you wanted but that's not a bad thing now is it

Pia,
I did some investigating and have found the best day to look for air fare is Wednesday. For some reason, it usually comes down then.
Lately, alot of airlines are posting rates on their sites that beat Expedia.
What kind event are you judging? Just curious.

I judge Professional Ballroom Dancesport events, and yes before you ask (I get asked all the time ) I know all the guy's on Dancing With The Stars and have judged, I think, all of them either as professionals or amateurs, as well as Mary Murphy on So You Think You Can Dance as she is a friend and was at our wedding on STJ

Wow Pia! That is awesome!! My two favorite shows!
Glad to see you will be back before we head out to STJ on Oct 17. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet you and other forumites if there is a forum beach bar meeting. We are looking forward to it!
