I posted this on the "off topic" forum, but as alot of you don't visit over there, if you have any, could you be so kind as to post your experiences with them as I am thinking of them for our remodel
Thanks, and see you "over there" (or answer here if you prefer
)

I just bought a Bosch Dishwasher model SHE58CO5UC to replace my Sears Elite, that literally caught on fire.
Love the Bosch, just beware that they are smaller
as far as how many dishes it holds.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much - we have to go with an 18" one anyway - I know really small - but it beats the one we have now called "Pia"

Pia, since it's just you and Les, I think you'd get along fine with the smaller Bosch. It's just Rick and I at home and our Bosch hold all the dishes we use. Sometimes if I have company, I might have to do a second load or wash some up by hand, but for just the two of us, it's a good size.

Thanks everyone - I think they will be great. I started to get a bit concerned when I found a "review" forum and every single one was a negative review. I just have to figure out the import tax on a non US made appliance to see if they will still be in our desired price range (forgot about that little extra
)

Pia, When we remodeled our kitchen 2 years ago, we bought a Bosch dishwasher and we absolutely love it. It is so quiet we don't even know it is running. With just the two of us at home, it doesn't get run but about every other day or so unless we are entertaining.

I thought about Miele appliances but the refrigerator alone ($6500) is the cost of the whole set of Bosch - fridge, dishwasher, cooktop, oven and micro and I can't justify that (my whole set of appliances have to match
) and for my little cottage that would definitely be over improving but I would love to hear about any problems in particular that you had and if you owned all of the appliances or just the dishwasher.
Thanks again

Pia,
I have never owned them but I did install a set in a house that I remodeled in West Virginia. I have to say the dishwasher was very impressive. It was so quiet I thought it was broken when I first started it up. They ae built with a double wall and sound proofing all around. My only concern would be getting them serviced here, but that's life on the rocks.

Pia,
We've had our Bosch dishwasher for 7 years, and have had zero problems with it. It's the most quiet of any others we've had!

I have only owned the Bosch diswasher. The first one we bought when we built our house 10 years ago it only lasted us 7 years which I find to be a problem when you are supposed to be buying a high end appliance. I feel this should have definitely lasted longer than that. Within the first 3 years we owned it the gasket around the door needed to be replaced again in my opinion shouldn't have happened. The dishwasher is very quiet, you could hardly hear it running but I think that is true for any dishwasher in this price range. My second one which I still have is at my home on Cape Cod. We bought it only a couple of years after buying the first one (before we ran into problems) and it has given me trouble from the start. The one I have now is the cheaper model but will sometimes dry the dishes and other times they will be soaking wet when the cycle is finished, it is very unpredictable. The dishes are alway clean but the drying cycle is terrible. We replaced the first one with a Miele and it is awesome. We do have a rather large family with 4 kids, my husband and myself the dishwasher does about 2 loads a day sometimes three. JMO.

I guess I'll add my 2 cents here . . . recently purchased an electric Bosch cooktop with downdraft . . . love it! All glass top with griddle burners. Very easy to keep clean. Have no complaints.
