alexandria rentals and prices

My little bro and his girlfriend are moving to the DC area and are looking for apts --what can they expect to pay in the Alexandria area for a 1br? how about in DC proper? does anyone have any ins on good apts? (i swear these are stand up people--much nicer than me!)

I would live in Fairlington. VERY good location, close to Alexandria and DC. Very nice community.

One bedrooms starting at around 1200 to up to 2300 for the 2 or 3 bedroom townhouses.
In Alexandria itself or DC proper your rent is going to be about in the same range. Maybe a bit higher or lower depending on the condition of the apt/house and the neighborhood.

He's a great kid--(26--) and his girlfriend is really a sweetie--I think it would be great if you guys met!
