still planning a last minute trip for the end of the july and into early aug. haven't found place really like (pool views for villa gravity days) at price and availability needed. ran across "it's about time" on ajax peak. don't like wally pools but villa seems to meet requirements otherwise (2 kings or twins, bedroom ac and max 2 levels for old folks).
anyone have 1st hand or dependable second hand info on?
thanks for any help.

I don't know the villa, but it looks very nice. The pool at 8' X 16' is barely a pool, if that's important to you. Did you look at the deal on Casa Bueno? 250. a night for 4? Bedrooms seem to fit your needs too. Don't know about stairs, but Pia does.

On Ajax, look at Orion's Hill. It totally rocks for 2 couples. A beautiful villa with 2 separate levels. We spent 2 weeks there last July and can't say enough about how great it is!

cg, who has book on casa bueno and exactly where is she? a new one on me. we thought we had a match with esprit but then realized no view from pool deck. size of pool not an issue as long as have plenty of room on and view from the deck. we've even had hot tubs turned off and used for dipping on past trips.
ghmom, orion's been on list for long time but not available for our dates and would not accommodate second couple due to 2 queens. the bride doesn't share a bed smaller than a king! sooo a king or twins or another bedroom!
also bride won't do a villa that requires going all or most of way into coral bay (and definitely not back on the hill sides from cbay) due to drive back to north shore.
thanks,
papabou

This was on another thread yesterday.............
Hawaii,
CASA BUENO's price is a great value because we just went into the rental market a few weeks ago. Pia is correct 3 interior bedrooms, and lower bedroom with outside entry. At $250 per night off-season for 4 people it is currently one of the islands best values.
Great mid-island location, and very very private.
Also, the home is for sale, but we would work around guests schedule for any showings. Also, if the property is sold existing bookings would be honored by new owner. Most likely we will increase our price after this initial jump start:) Take advantage while it
I think it's on VRBO. I'd google it. Your wife may not like it if she wants to be in Cruz Bay, but it's not far from the north shore, and I'm sure it has great breezes. I'd stay there in a heart beat. Pick me.

I'm a huge fan of the Bordeaux Mtn. location and Casa Bueno looks great to me. It's just a round the corner from Summer Wind where we have stayed twice and we love it up there. Casa Bueno can be found here
http://www.vrbo.com/251116#inquireForm . The price is really great. I'd leave tomorrow if my husband told me I could pack.

Since your original question was about "It's About Time," I'll chime in. We haven't stayed there, but we got a tour when it was under construction. We were driving around Ajax, since we like the location but had never stayed there.
The owner/builder was working on the house, and he invited us in to look at the house and explain his vision. (For instance, he created these clever hurricane shutters and the indoor/outdoor showers.) We loved the location -- magnificent view. The owner was so careful in explaining the use of the space, including storage, that I imagine the house is very well done in its finished state.
We haven't stayed there yet, but I hope to one day. Good luck in your search!

Do check out Casa Bueno
As I said in a previous post, it is for sale and I have shown it quite a few times, and it is a fantastic villa (imo) and for the price you won't be sorry

thanks for info on casa bueno, she does look great, a location bride would be happy with and best rates i've seen. unfortunately as nonrevers we fly when there appear to be plenty of seats so were working toward mon 7/27 to 8/5 or 8/6. cb open for arrival but would need to move to another location till we can get flt seats back to atl. have a couple of places that does 4 & 5 dayers to pair with cb so am pursuing.
next question. what's deal with vrbo? how do you know there's aplace to move into when you arrive and who do you call if there's a problem. noticed the vrbo site lists vi numbers so maybe local owner/manager, sure hope so.
by the way, bride has spent 42+ years training me to be at her call.

We just stayed at "It's About Time" for 10 days and were not very impressed. I've been slowly writing a trip report including a mini villa review. I'll post it when I get a chance a little later today.

I noticed on the Casa Bueno site that the tax is included in the rate. Even better. I may have to have a talk with my husand tonight.

thanks to all for lead on casa bueno. have committed to and awaiting confirmation for arr 7/26 lv 8/2 when she turns over. now working on leads for place for 3/4 more nites till we can get back to atl. sure hope we don't have to pay for 5 nite min to get a decent place.
any more great suggestions? since casa b gives the bride her mt top close to maho for 6 nites, she might consent to go back to west side for the sunsets.
thanks again to all of you who contribute and make this board so great.
