I haven't been in the lower unit - but found some great panaramic photos of most rooms there - apparently, there are double doors with glass/louvers

Lets just say that the bedroom on the bottom floor units are just for sleeping. There is a little "patio"/porch off of the bedroom, with doors. but it is completely screened in or fenced in, so no one can climb into it. I think those little porches were once a nice little extra place to lounge, but for security reasons, they were enclosed. We didn't use ours except to dry our our bathing suits and towels and store our snorkel gear. The bedroom wasn't so small that I would get claustraphobic.

the lower unit bedroom is exactly as suzi described. There is no way you will ever feel claustraphobic in the bedroom. They are of good size.

And your living room doors will look like this:

Wow Lisa..Those pics are awesome!! Isn't technology great? :)...The only other online pic I saw of a lower bedroom unit was dark and looked like there was not even a window. It looks fine :) Thanks again!
