Where were you?
I remember it clearly.
I'd driven up to see my then then girlfriend, soon to be fiance and now wife at her parents' house in Horseheads NY.
I was also a Knicks fan at the time because my father's business partner kept hooking me up with tickets. I'd been at the Garden to see the Knicks beat the Pacers in Game 7 of the conference finals just a week prior.
All I wanted to do was watch the stupid game. My future mother in law was peeved at having me in the house (we later made our peace) and could not believe what she was seeing.
All I wanted to do was have NBC cut back to the effing game.
Try to imagine that day happening with today's technology.
15 years. Holy Moses. I was still a kid. I'd never even heard of the Virgin Islands.

Hmmm.. It was the day before my wedding. That night we were at the rehearsal dinner and the guys were all running to the bar...not to buy more drinks (well, that too), but to watch the Rockets play in the playoffs. However, some guy driving a white Ford Bronco ruined those plans since every station showed him driving around LA. Oh well, at least we had our margaritas!

Good topic...Actually I had just moved from Michigan to Virgina...I decided the husband I married five years before needed to be given back to his mother...my time with his was up...so I was 25 living a couple blocks from the Ocean in a cute one bedroom apartment...it was scary but so good at the same time....15 years later I'm happily married and we have a 7 year old daughter...life is CRAZY...there is no way you could have told me 16 years ago I'd be living in Virgina married to a southern boy...

I was about to turn 1.

I don't remember anything really before kindergarten!
OH you said 1994 --- Not 1974!!! LOL. I am an idiot, in vacation mode.
Um, I was working in Williamsburg for the summer between my junior and senior year of college. Pining for my boyfriend who'd broken up with me that year! Eventually he came back...hi Mr. Flip-Flop.

I had just got home from my week long honeymoon in St. Lucia and it was back to work.

Ok, if June 17 was the Run-OJ-Run day my then finance (now husband) and I were at our friend's house enjoying a few beers. It was a house full of guys and they had a giant tv and we were all lined up in front watching the chase.
The beer ran out and we needed to move the party down to the local tavern. We raced to the bar and much to our relief, the chase was still on and on and on....
It was also my dad's 61st B-day. He just stopped by my office, today is his 76th.

Patrick Ewing mauled Dale Davis to get the offensive rebound and put back at the end of the game. The Knicks never should have won. At least thats how I saw it.

It was the summer after I graduated from high school, and I had just gotten home from work and we watched the whole thing on TV. It seems like yesterday.
I can also tell you exactly what I was doing when the jury came back with their verdict. I was eating lunch in Shively Hall with my college friends. We were all in shock at how it turned out.

I was still in college but working in my father's factory between and around classes when the verdict came in.
Every machine on the production floor stopped for a few minutes. It had never been so quiet out on the floor as it was at that moment.

I was working behind the bar at a local pub in town. The bar was packed with people watching the Bronco. It was a great tip day!

Horseheads uh? My backyard. I'm sure we had our share of sluts but no Jewelry slut I can recall.

She hadn't earned that nickname yet...That came 10 years later
