A K.C. question...

Ok, I'm a card carrying member of the Headbangers of America, but as I've aged I've come to like some country music (my wife listens to a lot). I must admit I'm not a huge K.C. fan, but we own most of his albums.
I like to just put my player on auto-DJ. So I hear everything from K.C. to Iron Maiden. Anyway, I was listening this morning and was grooving on "Be As You Are" and like all the St John references. I know he has quite a few songs that do. What are some of the other ones? I'd appreciate some suggestions. That way I could make a playlist without going through all the albums. Yikes...that's too much Kenny for me! Lol......

The song "Old Blue Chair" has references to STJ.

LOL! I thought it was a dog question too!
My favorite song of the STJ collection is "Magic". Also try "Key Lime Pie" and "She Comes from Boston"

OK... True confessions. I know of not one single KC song! I love STJ, but don't really need any country music with it.
Can I still play with you guys?

ps - I too was thinking AKC was a dog reference

I was gonna write about how I once interviewed to work at the AKC. their HQ is in Raleigh and they needed someone to run the print shop.
Strange place...people brought their dogs to work. I interviewed with a woman and her Schnauzer.
Not having a dog, I had planned to buy a stuffed animal and put a leash on it and drag it around the office. Then, they made me an offer for like $15K less that what I had been making at the time. That more or less put an end to my dreams of dodging piles of dog crap all day while at work

Pip - You can come work at my office. My boss brings her new puppy to work every day. We have lots of urine spots on the carpet and get to pick up poop at least once a day. Oh so fun! I don't even own a dog, why am I picking up dog crap every day?!

Lovermont - I don't really listen to country music or much of KC's other stuff, but that Be As You Are cd (to me anyway) doesn't really sound like country music. In fact, I think he was worried about it ticking off his country fans.
There are a few other KC songs that are similiar (No Shirt No Shoes No Problem comes to mind) in theme but no necessarily "country".
I do enjoy hearing him talk about places I know and love though.

My daughter has always been a Kenny fan and I thought he was ok, but since I was on island a few months ago I listen to him all the time. especially the Be As You Are cd.
