What time does this crank up on Sundays? What time should you get there for a seat? Same menu on Sunday??? Thinking about this for our May trip 5th-12th.

It is a definite MUST DO. Starts about 4.30 and lasts about three hours. A great chance to meet lots of local folks/musicians from STJ & STT.

Plenty of room around the bar or on the side or on the beach. Or even leaning against the bar.

Hi,

Yes, definitely a must do. If you want a seat at the bar, you may need to arrive before it starts. We arrived around 5:30pm and ended up standing toward the back under the sign.

Better yet, bring your own beach chair and sit out on the sand.

enjoy,

I thought they went from 4-7:30. I think we got there around 3:30 last time and we had a choice of seats at the bar, later on it was packed.

Hey guys, is this a year round thing? We'll be there in June and my husband is a keyboard player. Is this a jam kind of thing. Hubby would love to sit in

Their web site has the schedule of who is playing each week and lists the hours from 4:30 - 7:30.

The Jazz Jam is awesome - very entertaining. According to the beach bar's website, it is from 4:30 - 7:30.

Since it is a jam type event, I do believe they allow visitors to sit in and play. Steve SImon is the main man, if you could get in touch with him, he would be the best person to ask about your husband sitting in.

Thanks! I do know someone who lives down there who is a friend of Steve's so I'm sure they can work something out!

I'm sure they would let him play. It's pretty loose and all of a sudden, you'll see someone you were sitting next to at the bar's name get called out and they come up and play.
