Post-Trip Glow.....

Yes, I am back at work, but I am still basking in that glorious "post trip" glow, so I won't start yelling at staff for at least 3 or 4 more days. It will be then that it sinks in that if I have a drink at 9:00 a.m. it is considered "a problem" instead of "breakfast" and that my toes are no longer in the sand.

For now, I am still on the post-St. John high.

Hopefully, a trip report and photos will eventually surface, but for now, here are some highlights:

-A "through the glass" hug with Marybeth at the airport.

-Getting a Jeep rental that actually had a removable top. Woo Hoo!

-A fantastic day on Jost (yes, Paradise had a car waiting!) with free drinks from the Chills, free chairs and "pour your own" at Gertrude's, and some fan-dam-tastic lobster at Sidney's.

-Finally getting to Honeymoon Beach and Gibney Beach.

-About 4 hours at Vie's beach ALL TO OURSELVES. Finally trying Vie's coconut and pineapple tarts.

-Visiting Ruth and Ron at Bongo Bongo and meeting Wade the Shark (and um, Lenny).

-No Newbies!!! No M-I-L!!!

-Only 3 mosquito bites.

-Donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys, turtles, frogs, lizards, and donkeys.

-Discovering Valley Doll 151 hot sauce.

-Coming home with my heart a little lighter.

It's all good.

Sounds like a great trip.

I got three skeeter bites (and none of that other great stuff) right here in Tennessee.

I can't make it until February...

Vicki - I saw you Sunday morning. You were at the little dock across from the ticket window. The one on the spicecam. We were at the window purchasing ferry tickets for our trip home.

Needless to say I was not in a good mood.

Jo Ann - Yep. That was me. I was taking pics of the dingy dock while waiting for the ferry to Jost. Thanks for not kicking me from behind in order to ease the pain of the W.O.W.

Sydney - I know...I already have another countdown thanks to you! We stopped in at CYOA hoping to see the boat but it was out.

Oh, and correction from Ruth: Wade's friend is TERRY, not Lenny. When asked how you tell Wade and Terry apart, do you know what Ruth says? "Terry is the quiet one."
