You know when you hear or see a horrible crime and you just say something like "Hang em, I'd like to get my hands on him, give em to the family?"

Here's an example. Horrible crime, vigilanties and a $10,000 reward.

This was in our morning paper

On one hand I think great, let it be a wake-up all to anyone that commits a crime, especially one of this nature.

On the other hand, I hope they didn't get the wrong guy....

You're right PA, but I'm also thinking that this area where it happened is a big drug, theft, etc. area.

If people want to take back their neighborhood then do it for all crimes. Turn people in. Call the police.

There's all different ways to look at this issue.

There certainly is.

The area where I live is seeing an increase in drug activity in certain pockets of the small towns, nearly all in government subsidized housing communities.

Living outside of that lifestyle, the non-druggie/assistance crowd - one thinks "call the cops, kick the bum out, etc. but when the dealer/bum/etc is your son/boyfriend/relative, I am sure it isn't so easy to do the right thing.
