I tried a search with no luck. Does anyone remember someone talking about going to a beach this way, and what the directions were?
Thanks for any help.

The Moravian church is on the left as you head toward East End. It is land locked. There are a variety of beaches with access out toward East End.
Princess Bay for mangrove snorkeling, and Vie's Beach. The map of STJ on the forum site will identify each bay.

I think you may be thinking of the Johnny Horn trail that starts at the Moravian church and brings you to Brown Bay and Waterlemon. You can't drive there but have to hike to it. We attempted it last year but never found our way to a beach

Haulover South and Hansen are both "past" the Moravian church and right next to the road. Haulover has a bunch of big rocks along the road with little "divots" in the trees for parking (if you go there, check out Haulover north as well, a short walk through the trees). Hansen is more wide open at the road, has 1 or 2 large trees, usually an overturned paddle boat and probably a dog on the beach. Hansen is one of my favorites (has Pelican Rock).

I must be having a senior moment. I thought someone in a report talked of going up the road past the church to the other side to a beach. A short walk from where they parked.
We have been to Vie's, Pellican Rock, and Haulover North and South in the past. Was looking for something different. My husband had a partial knee replacement 3 weeks ago, and we came down to get the healing factor, last minute. Just looking for all short walk beaches. Have been to Maho and Hawksnest. Tomorrow is Jost. Looking for something different.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, that would be the hike to Brown Bay. It's an easy hike up and over a ridge and you will likely have the beach to yourself. Shallow water with lots of conch.

I have to disagree - the hike to Brown Bay is not an easy one (do it everyday) for someone 3 weeks out of knee replacement.

oops - sorry I missed that... Probably not a good idea.
