So, Julie and I finally made it out of Cleveland. We are now sitting in the airport in Charlotte N.C., after being told our plane was being towed back to the hangar with "mechanical issues". They are going to get us a new plane, eventually. There's no way I'm going to make it to the jeep rental before they close, and I'm now wondering what time the last ferry leaves STT? This place better live up to the hype after all this aggrivation!!!!

Last ferry from Red Hook leaves at midnight. You have plenty of time. I feel your pain. Being in Charlotte when you're supposed to be in St. Thomas is not fun.

You probably already thought of this, but call your villa rep and have them arrange to have the car picked up late. This happened to us -- keys were left, returned the next day to fill in the paperwork.

Try to relax and enjoy the ride -- you're already on vacation! Remember, island time...

Oh my lands!! You are having a frustrating start...Hopefully you are on your way soon. Like the other poster said, call your villa rep, the jeep rental co. will leave the keys with them and you can go back and sign papers in the morning. Make sure and post once your feet have hit the sand and you have a rum drink in your hand!!

Two days from now this crap will all be a distant memory...Try to keep that thought! Can't wait to hear you arrive safely!

If you're renting your car on STT you're probably in trouble. This is another reason that I always rent our Jeep on STJ.

If you are renting on STJ call the car agency and the villa agency and have them [villa rep] pick up the keys for you. Last ferry from Red Hook is midnight. You are having more than your fair share of trouble on this trip. Hang in there!

Just started boarding the replacement plane! Looks like we'll be outta here by about quarter till one. Brenda from Denzil Clyne will wait for us if we're not too late. Back on track - STJ here we come!
