We are staying in St. Thomas our 1st night due to our late arrival. Will you give me some advice to what we can do once we arrive in St. John. We can't check in our villa till 3:00 and would like to do something until our 3:00 check in time. I am not sure what to do with our luggage until our check in time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you called your rental agency to verify that you cannot check in until 3:00? Many times they will let you check-in early provided the villa was not occupied that morning by previous renters. Your rental agency should be more than willing to store your luggage until check-in time if you cannot get in until 3:00. I'd just hit the beach and have a nice lunch.

Hit the Beach Bar to get into Limin Time

Or this would be a great time to drive around exploring.

I second the previous posters - you may want to call your rental agency and ask if they can let you drop your luggage early. Not all the agencies are willing to do that though. One of the agencies we are using for our upcoming trip (leaving tomorrow!) can't let us drop our luggage earlier than 3 p.m. even though the villa is unoccupied a few days prior to our arrival. Darn.
Another option on St. John is to leave the luggage at Connections for a small fee and have a drink in Cruz Bay until your check-in time (note: I believe Connections closes at 1 p.m. on Saturdays and are closed Sundays).

We rent our wheels on St. Thomas and enjoy some breakfast at our lodgings (Crystal Palace) before hitting Cost U Less on the way over to STJ. If you need to get your vehicle on STJ, I would just pick that up off the ferry and work from there - Lunch, beach, bar, drive....
Cheers, RickG

I'm with pickle-
drop off the luggage if the villa co. can't help out.
Other than that, Uncle Joe's bbq is a "must do".
You'll find plenty to do,as you'll see.
The Gecko Gazebo in Mongoose Junction is also a lot of fun, and will definately pit you on "island time".
Have fun!!!
Smiles-

We drop our bags at the villa and drive to Coral Bay, have lunch then drive to East End just to check the island out and see if anything has changed since our previous trip.

We are arriving on the early side for our December trip. As we are bringing first timers, I thought a leisurely drive to Coral Bay with periodic stops at lookouts and beaches to get a feel of the island, would be the best approach.
Go have lunch at Skinnys or Shipwreck, have a Painkiller or Presidente or two and before you know it, you'll feel like you're at home.
