Photos from St. John: birds, fish, beaches

Hi All,
I just found out about this forum from the Cinnamom Bay (St. John) googlegroup. We had a great time in St. John last March, and plan to go back again next January. It will be our 5th time staying at the CB campground.
At any rate, I just wanted to share our photo album:

Actually, I was just hired by this bizarre couple to photograph their vacation. I'm not in any of the shots.

Amazing photos. I'm impressed with all your bird pictures. I love the Kestral in Reef bay trail picture (no 157) and also the hummingbirds. I know how hard they are to capture on photo.
I have two questions. What camera do you use?
I also love the album. Great, perfectly sized thumbnails to look at and very easy to look through the photos. Is that album a program that you can download for free or buy? I think I've seen it before, but I'm unsure.
Anyway, thanks for sharing. They were just great!

Hi Maggy,
For this trip, I was using a Canon 50D with 4 lenses: a Sigma 10-20, and various Canon lenses, 17-55, 24-105 and 100-400. I also brought my tripod (for night shots) and a polarizing filter for landscapes.
The underwater shots are just snapshots taken with a cheapo Canon A590 stuck into a $25 Dicapac waterproof bag. I didn't want to splurge for a an underwater housing for my G10.

www.zenfolio.com. I heartily recommend them. They have a free service as well as various paid upgrades. It's easy to use, is very clean, and they do a good job with online presentation.

Yes, it helped much. Zenfolio it was. I will look into that as the album program I'm using really sucks.
With that camera and the lenses I understand that the pictures are so good. Canon make good cameras, even the cheaper ones. Sometimes I'm still surpriced that they take such good pictures. I have a A720IS with uw housing. Not expensive at all.
Btw, I want a G10 also (with uw housing). I will just ask for a raise first, lol.
