How's the weather?

I know, no one can predict the weather for me. Just wondering if it has still been quite rainy? Has it been "cool"? The Weather Channel just forecasted "near record low temperatures" for tomorrow night. Looks like I'll be bringing some long sleeves. Hope I don't need my fuzzy slippers

2 weathersites you might want to read that give closer to home reporting are:
www.weathercarib.com
www.wunderground.com use zip code 00801
It has not been particularly colder - it has been cloudier than normal and some sporadic shower activity.
Not fuzzy slipper weather for sure.
The record low temp for STT for May 15 is 73' F so if it was 72'F tonite it would be a record low but not too cold heh?

My BIL is there on his honeymoon now. He says that it has been raining on and off. It'll be sunny in the AM, then rain, then clear, then be cloudy, then sunny, etc. Kind of moody weather. The mosquitos have been out in full force due to last week's rains.

I am usually a "lurker" on here - and we are going to St John's tomorrow! It has been 2 years since we have been back, and I am soooo upset about the weather situation. I hope things turn around - I know I will have a great time regardless, but to spend all the money, you want to have good weather too - I will do the sun dance with you!!

Wow...that's awful. A day of rain is one thing. While we were in STJ for two weeks it rained 11 of the 14 days we were gone in Pa. And when we got home it's been sunny here ever since and rainy in STJ.
So we would have to assume that where we are, so is the sunshine!
So if anyone wants to insure perfect STJ weather they need to take us with them!

Thanks for the updates. I normally never ask about the weather because I know by now that it is hit or miss. I had read recently on Frank Barnako's site that a lot of rain was expected.
Okay people, your rain dances worked a little too good. Time for some sun now. I'm dreading doing battle with the nasty blood suckers.
At this time tomorrow, we should be on the ferry

. Looking forward to Rhumblines for dinner tomorrow! Rain, rain go away....

We are here for the last night . The weather has been pretty awful I must admit. We are staying on top of Bordeaux Mountain and its been a wind tunnel the whole week. We dont even sit outside. I have waited 3 years to come back to ST John and yes I am a bit bummed out. We snorkeled in the rain and made the best of it. We are heading to Virgin Gorda for 3 days tomorrow so maybe there is hope. I know that May will have bad luck in my head so see you in some future July

We leave tomorrow, too. I'm not happy with the weather forecast, either. I agree with GlitterGirlPA, when I spend this much money, I hope for at least some sunshine. It's been 2 years since we've been to STJ & we have been looking so forward to it. This will be our son's first time to actually stay on the island vs just a day trip. Let's hope the forecasters are wrong this time.

Weather.....SUCKED
Mosquitos.....SUCKED
Rum.....mmmm GOOD
The owner of the Big Belly Deli joked there would be alot of pregnant women leaving the island after the last two weeks. I must admit the weather was really crappy this time. You had 2 hours of sun in the morning and then rain the rest of the day. Didn't get alot of beach time which was a bummer. The biggest problem was the bugs.....We were using 40% Deet and were still literally getting eaten alive. Even Victor at the Domino gas station was complaining and he is a native.
If you are coming down the next two weeks, bring lots of bug spray!!!

Looks like Monday will be bad, then a little less bad, then breaking by Thursday morning.
Of course, anything is possible.
