Seven days to arrival, I want to take my wife to a very special dinner at least one or two evenings while we are at St John and have spent a large amount of time looking at web sites and the like,but am still uncertain where to go. So now let me ask those who truly know. If you were treating your wife/husband to a great evening out starting with dinner.. What would be the stops? Quiet and romantic is key here...

Zozos. Get there in time to have a drink upstair (around 6) with a reservation at 6:30 (ask to be seated at the rail). Fabulous food, service, atmosphere.

My favorite is La Tapa but it is not quiet. So...

I agree with the Zozos recommendation. And, surprisingly, the past two trips we have had very nice meals at Asolare, after a couple of years of mediocre food and service. Maybe they got a new chef? Make a reservation in advance for the first seating at 5:30 to increase your chances of getting a table on the rail. You'll have a lovely view of the sunset, and the restaurant is very quiet and romantic.

One more note on Zozo's. They are not open on Sunday's when you will be in St. John.

And yes, make reservations.
