Seems like a lot of us are reading more than we are posting. I only noticed it because normally trip reports have so many more replies than the most recent reports (mine included, that is why I noticed)

Sorry X........I agree. I don't tell people often enough how much I enjoy their reports. I've gotten to lazy to even write reports, but I love reading them. Yours was very funny.

I've been trying to not reply as much after I was told that we who say a couple of nice things are just trying to pad our post number.

I'm sorry that I only seem to post when I have had a wonderful trip and want to post a report (once a year at best) or have a question for forum members that will make my life easier (what charter to take etc.) I am so grateful for the regular posters that keep my dream of St. John alive all year long!

sadly, I am finding that I must curtail my time spent with the forum...I decided that I would try to wait until all parts of trip reports were posted then I will read and reply (once). Please don't be offended; I truly enjoy each segment of every report...I have loved my travels through each of you and I hope not to overlook letting you know.

I am certainly not offended. I write my report more for me than I do for anyone else, it is a great way to remember the great time we had.

It really is just an observation.

I'm guilty. I love to read but not reply. I'm trying to reply more.

I could not help but notice that this topic has 297 views.

It's hard for me to reply to things that I really don't know about on STJ because I'm a STT person, but I certainly do read everything.

I just don't think there's enough STT people here to keep up a conversation, but that's the way it goes.

Not that I don't like STJ...just so happens we like STT.

Try to get involved and have been to a get together around here.

I'm guilty as well. Like a couple of others mentioned, time is my issue. I speed read through most of the posts, but don't leave comments. On the other hand, when I've started a thread, it is nice to see comments following it! Balance. I need more balance!

I've just been really busy lately. Sometimes I click on something to read it, and then I get busy and have to come back to it later, whenever that might be.

I also get the vibe that people are critical of those who post "too much," and I'm trying to get to the point where I don't contribute unless I really have something to contribute. It's probably the best policy.

I haven't read your trip report yet, but I will as soon as I can, and I promise I will reply! I have seen some of your photos on Facebook, and it looks like you had a great time, so I'm excited to hear more about it.

busy! I've been waiting for the final installment of TRs and printing them out.

Sometimes I only have time to read the short posts and eventually I get back to the trip reports... but I always recognize the poster with at least a "thanks for a nice report". Obviously I'm waaaay behind on trip reports, having just gotten back, but now I have to start catching up again! Hell... I want you guys to read mine, so I always read yours!
